Head Forward Centre
For social rehabilitation after TBI

In October 2010 we held a musical fundraising event at St Catherine’s Social Club in Disdbury where the music was provided by Swingin’ Affair. The group performed for us previously in 2004 and we are very grateful for their continued help in raising money. The event was supported by attendees and their families, as well as friends and people from the local area, all of whom enjoyed the variety of music played. The event, including the raffle held in the interval, raised £645 which was very welcome.
Great Manchester Run
Tony Cottam took part in the Great Manchester Run on Sunday 15 May 2011 and finished the race in under 45 minutes! Thanks to Tony and all those who sponsored him - your support is much appreciated.
The management committee of the Head Forward Centre are pleased to announce that the charity is still a member of the Greater Manchester Neurological Alliance which unites charities working to improve the quality of life for people in Greater Manchester with a neurological condition.
In General
Our activity year is approximately forty six (46) weeks divided into four terms, Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter. In order to enable the continuation of our voluntary sector service, all Attendees must be funded per term either by their Case manager, Trustee, or the Social Services. For details of our Service Level Agreement and funding requirements please contact Maggie Cottam at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Due to an increased number of attendees since September we are now having to create a waiting list for those wishing to attend on Fridays - but we have some vacancies available on Mondays and Tuesdays (10 a.m. – 3.30 p.m.). Please check our web site for the Head Forward Centre attendance/exclusion criteria and further information.
On Friday 4th December 2009 the patrons, volunteers and staff of the Head Forward Centre went to the Red Lion on Wilmslow Road for a meal. We enjoyed the food and it was a good opportunity for us all to get together in an informal atmosphere.

This year we held our annual social gathering on Friday 2nd October and the theme was "Mad Hatter's Tea Party". We had a "hat parade" which featured some very interesting and individual creations!
