Making a referral

The Head forward centre takes referrals from a number of sources; by direct contact, word of mouth, via social services, case managers and solicitors.

It is important to know when making a referral that your loved one, or the client you are responsible for, will be safe and met with sympathetic staff who understand their needs. All of our staff and volunteers have direct personal and family experience of head injury and receive appropriate training.

We have extensive policies in place, which are open for inspection, to ensure the centre is well run and regulated. We have regular in put from our Program Director: Martin Casassus , and professional input from Steve Pimm an experienced brain injury case manager.

We do have a selection criteria to ensure those attending the centre will be suitable to be companionable to our other attendees and enjoy the centre.

The best way to make the decision is to come and see us; potential clients, social workers, case managers and solicitors are very welcome to visit us - if you would like to do so please contact our centre manager Jill. Our daily charges are very reasonable as a charity we keep our costs to the minimum to bring our services within the budget of as many attendees as possible.
