Visit from Lord Bradley of Withington
We were very pleased to be visited by Lord Bradley of Withington on Friday 16 April. Lord Bradley presented a certificate to Desmond Flanagan to acknowledge the 10 years of service given by the Head Forward Centre to brain injury rehabilitation in the Greater Manchester area. Lord Bradley spent most of the morning with us and chatted to the attendees as well as the staff and volunteers. We are very grateful for his continued support.

Mad Hatter's Tea Party
This year we held our annual social gathering on Friday 2nd October and the theme was "Mad Hatter's Tea Party". We had a "hat parade" which featured some very interesting and individual creations!
CHRISTMAS MEAL 2009
On Friday
4th December 2009 the patrons, volunteers and staff of the Head Forward Centre
went to the Red Lion on Wilmslow Road for a meal. We enjoyed the
food and it was a good opportunity for us all to get together in an informal
atmosphere.

On Friday 7th December 2007 Head Forward Centre opened its doors for the Christmas gathering which as usual was very well supported by the head injured attendees and their families for an annual fund raising Raffle and mince pies. We were also delighted to welcome the three Head Forward Centre Patrons: Lord Bradley of Withington PC, Mr John Kennedy CBE & Professor David Neary MD FRCP.
It was a chance for everyone to meet in a festive setting which was also enlivened by our student volunteers from the Manchester University Psychology department.

Park View Programme
You’ll
see this in NOT attached. We are
happy that our members like to socialise outside Headway but at present we
regret we don’t have sufficient volunteers to supervise any activities before
the formal Park View Drop-in hours of 1-3pm. So the Programme will not be continuing for the foreseeable
future. We are looking at ways to support these social activities and will
provide more information in future newsletters.
Future Newsletters
We would like further
ideas for future venues/outings etc from you our Headway Members. Do you have
any ideas about trips or events for the Parkview programme or as a
group?
